  • Strong academic background with an undergraduate degree in a relevant area
  • Experience in direct investing / due diligence in the private equity industry
  • Strong commercial sense; demonstrated analytical capabilities and strong financial acumen
  • Ability to structure and present complex ideas and information in a concise, persuasive form, both written and oral
  • Experience with detailed financial modeling and fluency in key finance and accounting concepts
  • A professional presence combined with strong communication and relationship building skills to interact effectively with internal and external parties
  • A highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently while operating within an integrated global team
Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and execution of investment opportunities which includes deal due diligence, qualitative and quantitative analysis, deal team discussion/triage, authoring investment memorandums, and legal negotiation / closing processes
  • Monitoring of the co-investment portfolio through ongoing dialogue with General Partners
  • Working alongside the Primary, Secondary and Private Credit teams to support relationships with General Partners and drive co-investment deal flow
  • Supporting fundraising activities through collaboration with investor relations, strategy and investment professionals as Adams Street raises new funds and separately managed accounts
  • Further supporting the team through internal reporting, analysis and ad hoc projects
