Requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Department of Defense clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
  • Ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least four years of experience in financial analysis, program control, or project accounting.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain program financial baselines, including budgets, forecasts, cost estimates, and Estimates at Completion, to meet contractual and project requirements for assigned programs.
  • Monitor and analyze program costs, revenue, and profitability against established budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for internal management and external customers, including variance analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Support program managers in developing Estimates at Completion and ensuring cost and schedule alignment.
  • Track and forecast labor, material, and overhead costs to identify trends and potential risks.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and pricing in alignment with company financial policies and cost structures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, government accounting standards when applicable, and company financial procedures.
  • Coordinate with accounting, contracts, and operations to ensure accurate billing, revenue recognition, and funding status.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial reviews, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and program controls.
  • Provide mentorship to junior-level team members.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis or in accordance with the posted schedule.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
  • Knowledge of earned value management principles.
  • Experience in government contracting or manufacturing.

AEVEX acquires BlackSea Technologies for up to $650M to expand multi-domain autonomous systems

AEVEX Corp. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire BlackSea Technologies, a major provider of unmanned surface and subsea vessels in the US defence market. The deal is valued at up to $650 million on a cash-free, debt-free basis, comprising approximately $250 million in cash, $350 million in AEVEX Class A common stock, and $50 million in performance-based earnout consideration. The acquisition is expected to close in September 2026, subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions. BlackSea is expected to generate $150 million in revenue for fiscal year 2026. The combined entity will create one of the industry's most comprehensive autonomous systems portfolios, spanning air, surface and subsea domains. AEVEX intends to integrate its CompassX autonomy ecosystem with BlackSea's maritime platforms, whilst combining manufacturing capabilities across multiple US facilities.

AVEX scores $50M US Air Force contract, shares surge 16% on defence win

Aevex Corp. announced a $50 million contract from the US Air Force to expand unmanned mission-support capabilities. AEVEX appoints Murali Krishnan as chief growth officer to drive expansion

AEVEX Corp. has appointed Murali Krishnan as Chief Growth Officer to lead the company's growth strategy, business development and market expansion initiatives. Krishnan brings over 20 years of executive leadership experience in defence technology, space systems and national security solutions.
