Key Responsibilities 

• At Bose, customers are our focus and audio is our passion! As the software leader of out loud Audio consumer products software group, you will be responsible for crafting the future of Bose. Responsibilities include all of our out loud Audio products including sounds bars and portable blue tooth speakers. You will lead a team of SW engineers who are passionate about driving innovative technologies and experiences into the hands of Bose customers. This is a senior leadership position and you will have visibility within the org as the spokesperson for your team; working with different research and product teams. You find possibilities and solutions when others see problems and difficulties. You are willing to make calculated bets on key technologies to influence our bottom line and to improve Bose position as an OLA market leader. You will be joined by an outstanding dedicated team and you will be empowered to make the decisions that will shape our company direction and millions of dedicated customers. You can handle uncertainty of an ever evolving technology landscape and can develop your team to success through this. You are passionate about product delivery and delighting our end customers. You are able to negotiate trade-offs with technical, business team, and other managers and to lead numerous projects and challenging priorities. You are a strategic problem solver who will contribute to the layout of OLA product vision for next generation of products!

Qualifications

• Team builder who understands organization design and how process can successfully improve team performance.
• Performed hands on SW development throughout a significant portion of your career (5+years)
• Experience with Embedded Linux and RTOS systems
• Strong Embedded experience with emphasis on BT/WIFI and/or Audio is helpful
• Good understanding of software development process and tools and how their role in achieving our delivery objectives.
• Eye For Business with understanding of different organizations functional areas and how they lead to product level implementation within Bose
• Experience with Jenkins or other CI pipeline tools
• Exposure to more than one industry and business (Consumer. Automotive, enterprise or others)
• B2B, B2C, B2B2C experience and partnerships
• Experience with manufacturing Consumer Electronics and working with 3rd party JDMs

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related equivalent degree, plus experience in software development leadership.
• MS/PHD is preferred and MBA would be nice to have
