Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or analytical field (Mathematics, Statistics, etc.)
  • Economics, Data Analytics, Math, or Engineering BA or BS degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 1 years of related experience
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office suite
Responsibilities
  • Support all financial aspects relating to marketing and F&B efforts, working closely with senior marketing and finance leadership to evaluate, analyze, report, and draw insights on all aspects of marketing tests, promotions, coupons, product mix and loyalty program.
  • Do marketing tests and promotions.
  • Offer financial perspective on all marketing activity, helping to guide the organization to the most optimal decisions. Includes impacts to both sales and food cost.
  • Performs 'test and learn' analysis (change in test group vs. the control group, post-period vs. the pre-period) to understand incremental impacts of activity to sales and/or margin.
  • Provides proactive and timely Excel or dashboard-related analysis on all key metrics with a focus on results, insights, and observations.
  • Summarizes results of all activity to the company leadership team, drawing insights and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Works closely with the marketing team, and recommends markets and timing to achieve desired goals.
  • Tracks and reports coupon redemption/impact from price changes at the restaurant level.
  • Reports weekly results against goals, highlighting variances and rationale/insights.
  • Assist loyalty manager with the CRM and personalization platforms to build and own customer models to allow segmenting, targeting, and personalizing communication across all channels.
  • Contributes to sales and food cost forecasts by projecting sales mix by product by event.
  • Highlights shifts in product mix and identifies contributing factors. Makes recommendations to marketing to optimize mix considering food costs.
  • Deconstruct check components to provide insights on customer purchasing behavior and patterns to highlight marketing and menu opportunities.
  • Create reports and dashboards to effectively communicate product mix and check insights at various levels of the restaurant and product hierarchy.
  • Analyze and track prices of similar competitor’s products (benchmarking)
  • Updates leadership daily/weekly on sales results. Understands weather, macroeconomics, mix, and other year-over-year impacts on sales comp. Will document insights through Power BI dashboards, Excel schedules, and PowerPoint slides.
  • Create schedules and dashboards around performance vs. plan, forecast, and prior year for executive discussions, marketing meetings, period-end decks, and Board presentations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in QSR, Restaurant, or Retail industries preferred.
  • Experience/proficiency with SQL databases.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization tools.
