Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or graduating with Bachelor's degree by Summer 2025
  • 0 - 2+ years of professional experience; experience in transferrable role or related industry
  • Strong ability to analyze data and interpret statistics
  • Proven and influential verbal and written communicator
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills including exceptional attention to detail
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management or related disciple (preferred)
  • Prior experience in category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience in project management and strategic problem solving (preferred)
  • Experience with commercial contracts and/or terms and conditions negotiations (preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Draft and review services and equipment contracts working directly with Asset Management, Operations and Legal teams
  • Support commercial negotiations and contractual obligations within delegated scope of responsibility and in accordance with Invenergy’s procurement policies
  • Develop understanding of natural gas power plant technology and application for contract drafting and review
  • Support critical supplier relationship management and assist in building strategy for future partnerships within areas of assigned responsibility
  • Perform continuous contract management and process improvement
  • Conduct studies and spend analyses to determine new or better sources of supply for products, services or commodities within areas of assigned responsibility
  • Evaluate suppliers, products, and services to obtain comparative information for use in developing proposals
  • Prepare and evaluate formal and informal supplier bid and request for proposal packages for review and approval
  • Analyze market trends and assess their impact on future activities and assess suppliers based upon organizational key performance indicators
  • Train personnel as needed and support implementation of procurement processes across the business
  • Other duties or assignments as needed
