BlueLabs’ Commercial Practice plays a leading role within our Client Solutions Team, spearheading our engagements with major commercial clients. We partner with Fortune 500 companies to design and implement innovative solutions that leverage consumer analytics, influencer analytics, persuasion modeling, and experimental design.

About the role
BlueLabs is seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Senior Director, Commercial Practice to lead and expand our engagements with commercial clients. The Senior Director will leverage their extensive network and business development acumen to drive significant revenue growth and identify new business opportunities for the organization. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert on BlueLabs’ offerings and technical capabilities, effectively communicating them to external clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing and managing client engagements within the Fortune 500 landscape, consistently achieving and surpassing established revenue goals and metrics.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
Client Engagement and Growth
- Identify and secure new client engagements with major corporations, aligning BlueLabs’ capabilities with client strategic needs within the first 6 months of hire.
- Develop and implement strategic plans with oversight from department leadership to achieve revenue management metrics within their portfolio.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the field of analytics.
- Lead and manage a portfolio of engagements, ensuring successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client expectations and deliver measurable impact.
- Advocate for client needs internally, ensuring project success and contributing to BlueLabs’ market positioning.
Technical Expertise and Communication
- Expertise in communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, both internally and externally.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on BlueLabs’ offerings and technical capabilities, ensuring clarity and understanding within your portfolio, and the ability to effectively communicate offerings to potential and current clients.
- Collaborate on and serve as the final reviewer for all proposals, pitch decks, deliverables, etc., for both prospective and existing clients within their portfolio.
- Provide a weekly report on the status of new prospects and existing client relationships.
Collaboration and Leadership:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client engagements, leveraging internal technical knowledge to provide excellent project delivery.
- Contribute to the development and dissemination of thought leadership content, showcasing BlueLabs’ expertise.
- Partner with the Leadership team to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives within your portfolio, assessing market trends and identifying opportunities.
- Mentor and support the growth of team members working on client engagements within your portfolio, with the possibility of managing direct reports based on overall team growth.
What we are looking for
- 10+ years of experience in business development or consulting, with a proven ability to secure and manage client engagements within the Fortune 500 landscape. Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding established revenue targets and goals.
- Extensive network within the commercial and Fortune 500 space; ability to quickly leverage those relationships and drive revenue growth.
- Deep understanding of consumer analytics, influencer analytics, persuasion modeling, and experimental design, with a passion for leveraging data-driven insights to solve complex business challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with stakeholders at major corporations.
- Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions that address the unique needs of each client.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve outstanding results.
