  • Systems thinking and the ability to understand how different parts of an environment interact.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make progress in ambiguous situations.
  • Experience with scripting, coding, automation, or tooling is valuable, along with a willingness to keep building those capabilities over time.
  • Clear communication, strong ownership, and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a learn-it-all mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus, particularly for candidates with strong systems, infrastructure, or data-oriented backgrounds.

  • Use structured problem-solving methods such as divide-and-conquer, hypothesis testing, and root cause analysis to work through difficult technical issues.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of problems, partnering with specialists and stakeholders through mitigation, resolution, and follow-up.
  • Contribute to blameless postmortems and help translate lessons learned into practical improvements.
  • Improve how the team collects data, analyzes incidents, and responds at scale by building repeatable and efficient operational workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through scripting, automation, better tooling, and clearer operational processes.
  • Help improve service reliability by strengthening observability, response workflows, and preventative practices.
  • Serve as a technical leader and single point of ownership for complex customer issues, coordinating specialists while maintaining clear communication throughout the lifecycle of the problem.
  • Mentor other engineers and help strengthen a solution-oriented engineering culture built on learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in technical support, systems engineering, reliability engineering, infrastructure, or software engineering roles.

HPE named storage leader by Gartner amid new DDR5 patent dispute with Netlist

Netlist has filed patent infringement actions against HPE and others with the U.S. International Trade Commission and a California federal court, targeting DDR5 memory modules. The legal action emerged in August 2026. HPE has simultaneously been recognised as a Leader in Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Storage, highlighting its unified data platform and AI-focused infrastructure. The company recently presented its enterprise technology roadmap at the OCP APAC Summit in Taipei. HPE's investment narrative hinges on its pivot toward AI infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and higher-margin services offsetting pressure in traditional hardware. The company's narrative projects $55.8 billion revenue and $4.8 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 12.9% yearly revenue growth. Bearish analysts forecast lower figures, with revenue reaching approximately $53.5 billion and earnings about $5.1 billion by 2029.

SMCI projects $65B–$72B revenue, lifting Dell and HPE shares in pre-market trading

Super Micro Computer projected fiscal 2027 revenue of $65–$72 billion, significantly exceeding the analyst consensus of $52.50 billion. The guidance sent SMCI shares up roughly 9% in pre-market trading Wednesday. Dell Technologies and Hewlett Packard Enterprise rose in sympathy, gaining 2.6% and 2.2% respectively, as investors view SMCI's results as a demand indicator for AI server hardware. SMCI's fourth-quarter gross margin reached 17.5%, surpassing its preliminary estimate of 15%–17%. Fourth-quarter revenue nearly doubled year-over-year to $11.12 billion, though it fell short of the $11.55 billion consensus. The company counted nine customers generating over $1 billion in annual revenue in fiscal 2026, up from four the previous year. Dell held an AI systems backlog of $51.3 billion, whilst HPE reported $16.4 billion. Big Tech capital spending is expected to surpass $730 billion in 2026.
