Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, consulting, or equivalent role.
  • A track record of leading technical discovery and architecture discussions with software engineers, data teams, architects, and senior technical decision-makers.
  • Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems and cloud-native solutions.
  • Hands-on programming experience in at least one of Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience building solutions with one or more public-cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Depth in at least one relevant domain, such as data engineering, data warehousing, analytics and business intelligence, data science, machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, streaming, online transaction processing, or data governance.
  • Experience taking ambiguous customer problems from use-case discovery through solution design, evaluation, and a clear technical outcome.
  • Strong business communication skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs, connect architecture to business value, and communicate through presentations, whiteboarding, written points of view, and platform demonstrations.
  • Ability to operate with pace and autonomy across multiple accounts, prioritize effort, and collaborate effectively with Account Executives and the wider account team.
  • Business proficiency in both French and English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20–30% as required, primarily for customer meetings, local and regional events, and team activities.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with Startups Account Executives to build and execute technical account strategy for acquiring new logos and growing Databricks consumption on existing accounts.
  • Engage founders, Chief Technology Officers, Vice Presidents of Engineering and Data, architects, and technical practitioners in consultative discovery, and translate business priorities into clear data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and platform use cases.
  • Lead the technical sales motion from discovery through evaluation by defining success criteria, developing solution architectures, delivering demonstrations, guiding sizing, running or coordinating proofs of concept, and establishing a clear path to adoption.
  • Provide technical leadership across data engineering, data warehousing, analytics and business intelligence, machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, applications, Lakebase, and related cloud-native workloads.
  • Establish technical wins by connecting customer outcomes to the Databricks platform and helping stakeholders make confident architecture and technology decisions.
  • Use account context and customer signals, including consumption movement, user activity, feature adoption, architecture, security, and cost considerations, to prioritize high-value technical engagements and create relevant points of view.
  • Contribute to the startup and technical ecosystem through workshops, office hours, meetups, events, partner activity, and other one-to-many engagements.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, delivery and services teams, Support, and technology partners to represent customer needs, remove technical blockers, and accelerate adoption.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with high-growth technology companies, product engineering teams, software-as-a-service businesses, founders, or venture-backed organizations.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, or comparable modern data and artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Familiarity with startup, venture capital, accelerator, independent software vendor, or cloud-partner ecosystems.
  • Databricks and cloud certifications.
  • Fluency in Italian and/or Spanish.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Databricks works with over 1,000 partners regionally and 8,000 globally through its Brickbuilder Partner Network. The company's AWS business has surpassed a $1 billion run rate. Coatue leads $3B Databricks investment at $134B valuation

Coatue Management is reportedly leading a $3 billion investment in Databricks, according to recent reports. The data analytics company previously raised roughly $5 billion earlier in 2026 at a $134 billion valuation. Databricks sells a lakehouse platform combining data lake and data warehouse capabilities and has expanded into AI software for enterprise applications. The company reported $5.4 billion in revenue run rate in February, up over 65% year on year, which grew to $6.9 billion by June. The earlier financing round included $2 billion in debt capacity intended to fund AI products, acquisitions and employee liquidity. At its current valuation, Databricks exceeds Snowflake's market capitalisation of approximately $83 billion. Management has indicated the company may remain private until market conditions improve.
