Position Title: Geriatric Nursing Assistant – Part-Time Shifts Available

Pay: $19 - 24 / hour (Based on experience) 

Shifts Available in Comprehensive Care Unit: 
                    7am-3:30pm, Every other weekend
                    3pm-11:30pm, Every other weekend & Fri; Every other Thurs & Mon
                    7am-3:30pm, Every other Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, & weekend
                    3pm-11:30pm, Every other weekend

Shift Available in Assisted Living Unit: (Must be a certified GNA/CMT)

                    7am-3:30pm, Every other weekend & Fri 

                    (Evening/night shift differential included)

Blakehurst is recruiting for hospitality focused Geriatric Nursing Assistants to join our team. 

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist all residents with a high quality of personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, positioning, turning, exercising, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy.
• Assist residents with mealtime. Cut food. Encourage to eat.
• Complete and document shift assignments as assigned, if unable to complete, report to nursing supervisor.
• Communicate to residents, families, Department Leaders, and the Director of Nursing when needed.
• Provide activities as planned and/or directed.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• One (1) year experience working as a GNA.
• Must be on the Maryland Board of Nursing State Registry.

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
