Requirements
  • A minimum of Grade 10 or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and a driver’s abstract satisfactory to the employer may be required.
  • The ability to follow rules and work safely is required.
  • The ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully, satisfactory to The Salvation Army, is required.
  • CSA-approved footwear is required for the position.
  • Employees must comply with Health and Safety regulations and adhere to CVOR and organizational policies on vehicle safety operation.
  • The position requires frequent lifting and movement of heavy boxes and furniture, up to 75 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • The position requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, twisting, and substantial physical exertion.
  • Employees must be available for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays according to operational needs.
Responsibilities
  • Provide courteous pickup and delivery service to donors, guests, and Thrift Stores.
  • Drive safely and carefully while following material-handling procedures.
  • Collect and deliver donations and provide service to stakeholders.
  • Safely move through the operation while adhering to daily goals.
  • Maintain the safe keeping of Salvation Army property, including donations.
  • Prevent damage to vehicles and donations through sustained attention.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment through compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
