Requirements
  • A high school diploma, current enrollment in high school, or a GED is required.
  • The employee must remain current with all state and federal requirements related to conditions of employment.
  • The employee must complete a drug test.
  • The employee is subject to initial and continuous exclusion and sanction or disciplinary monitoring.
  • The employee must meet any additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position.
Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacy staff with triaging incoming prescriptions.
  • Verify and gather necessary patient information, including name, address, phone number, date of birth, allergies, chronic conditions, requests for non-safety caps, and insurance information.
  • Assess workload, establish prescription pickup times, and queue prescriptions for processing.
  • Assist with delivering prescriptions to patients, including obtaining patient signatures.
  • Perform cash register duties within the Pharmacy Department.
  • Provide customer service to all customers.
  • Perform housekeeping duties needed to maintain a professional environment, including replenishing vials, dispensing containers, labels, and computer paper supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Perform all store clerk duties as needed.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • An Associate of Science degree or higher.
  • Hospital or retail pharmacy experience.
