  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
  • 15+ years of experience in ASIC (analog & digital), FPGA, and firmware design, implementation, & verification
  • 9+ years of experience in system design, analysis, modeling, simulation, verification and validation
  • Experience in new technology or product/capability development
  • Experience in working in an agile model based system engineering environment
  • Experience leading trades, defining architectures, & developing requirements for PCB’s, ASICs, FPGA’s, Software, and Firmware
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Systems Engineering activities for research and development efforts
  • Develop, document, analyze, and test operational, functional, and environmental requirements of non-recurring development research systems
  • Provide high impact, creative and innovative solutions to complex technical problems
  • Work independently and as part of a dynamic team environment alongside research scientists and engineers
  • Lead systems engineering efforts in maturing technologies under development
  • Define requirements, functional threads, and interfaces for incorporation into system architecture
  • Integrate technologies under development with larger system concept of operations
  • Identify, innovate, and execute development and maintenance of new tools and processes
  • Execute analysis and technical performance budget planning
  • Provide system engineering expertise and leadership for formal reviews and lab demonstrations
  • Work with design teams to define and document the validation objectives
  • Debug complex systems and conduct failure analysis
