Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current registered nurse license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
  • A Master of Science in Nursing is required.
  • At least five years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience in education is required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in long-term care or post-acute care are required.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized clinical education strategies using current nursing theory, evidence, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and deliver clinical education programs, including new employee orientation, annual competencies, and targeted skills training in wound care, infection control, intravenous therapy, and cardiac monitoring.
  • Conduct system and site needs assessments to identify educational gaps, prioritize initiatives, and develop curricula addressing staff professional development needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff competency and performance to ensure compliance with clinical standards and state and federal regulations.
  • Analyze clinical outcomes with clinical leadership, develop targeted educational interventions, and support facilities in survey readiness and corrective action planning.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to center Nurse Practice Educators to build an effective education team.
  • Support consistent implementation of corporate clinical policies, procedures, and quality initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Market Clinical Advisor, Directors of Nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to promote consistency in clinical operations and care delivery.
  • Mentor new clinical leaders.
  • Travel routinely across assigned facilities to provide on-site education, support, and oversight.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements, best practices, and emerging trends in post-acute and long-term care nursing.
Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in a specialty area is strongly preferred.
