Requirements
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent education or experience is required.
  • Two to five years of employment in a related position with this company or another organization is required.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage two major hotel functions, such as food and beverage and room operations, to achieve guest, employee, corporate, and owner satisfaction while meeting or exceeding financial goals.
  • Perform short- and long-term planning and manage the day-to-day operations of two major hotel functions.
  • Serve as the operational leader during high-demand periods, special events, and emergency situations, making timely decisions that protect guest experience and business continuity.
  • Direct bar operations by developing beverage programs, monitoring beverage costs, managing inventory controls, reducing shrinkage, and ensuring compliance with responsible alcohol service standards and applicable liquor laws.
  • Assume the General Manager’s responsibilities during the General Manager’s absence and ensure uninterrupted operation of the property or portfolio.
  • Partner with department leaders to establish measurable goals, maintain accountability, and foster continuous improvement, collaboration, and exceptional guest service.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and operational reviews to ensure brand standards, cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and service expectations are achieved.
  • Manage human resources by attracting, retaining, and motivating employees; hiring, training, developing, empowering, coaching, and counseling employees; conducting performance and salary reviews; resolving problems; maintaining open communication; and disciplining or terminating employees as appropriate.
  • Implement company or franchise programs, develop local programs and procedures, and manage group operations in compliance with standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain customer satisfaction and quality service.
  • Implement emergency organization procedures and training through management of the security staff to protect hotel guests, staff, and company assets.
  • Execute and promote an accident prevention program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.
  • Manage front- and back-of-house maintenance and sanitation to protect assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.

Sage will oversee daily operations of the property, originally constructed in 1906 as a Masonic Temple, including management of the hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar.
