  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Demonstrates strong domain-specific knowledge regarding Target’s technology capabilities and key competitors’ products and differentiating features
  • Experience with SAP technologies preferred
  • Condition Contract Management (Settlement Management): Configure, build and support custom ABAP developments related to Condition Contracts, including contract set-up, settlement processing logic, and integration with pricing and billing component
  • Pricing Logic & Enhancements: Develop and enhance pricing routines (user exits, formulas, condition base value routines) and configuration support in the pricing engine
  • Finance Module (FI-AP, FI-GL, FI-AR): Solid working knowledge of SAP Financial Accounting modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
  • SAP Integration Suite: Exposure to SAP Integration Suite components like Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), API Management, or Event Mesh to support cross-system process automation. Curiosity to learn and develop within SAP Integration Tools
  • Working knowledge on package-specific configuration and deployment along with ability to build custom solutions
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain custom SAP solutions using ABAP, including RESTful Application Programming (RAP), Fiori, enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, and user exits across SD/MM/FI modules
  • Clearly communicates Agile concepts to partners within product team
  • Demonstrates expertise in analysis and optimization of systems capacity, performance, and operational health
  • Write and organize code using multiple computer languages, including distributed programming and understanding different frameworks and paradigms
  • Delivers high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with broad impact (high throughput and low latency)
  • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
  • Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems
  • This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs.
Responsibilities
  • Take the lead in building and scaling a hybrid product that blends SAP and open-source technologies, supporting key financial and merchandising processes like Vendor Income Settlement and Non-Owned Margin Calculations
  • Design and implement solutions for the revenues and receivable products using SAP
  • Propose software designs and provide feedback on designs and implementation to fellow engineers
  • Help the team in triaging operational issues and eliminate repeat occurrences
  • Build and scale a hybrid product blending SAP and open-source technologies, influencing implementation
  • Communicate Agile concepts to partners within the product team
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, repeatability, and security of deliverables with broad impact
  • Lead in architecture discussions and influence other engineers
