- Radiology Certificate required
- Radiology Student Permit OR Indiana Radiology License required
- ARRT-R certification required within 1 year of hire
- Perform radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation to render optimum images
- Conduct preliminary analysis on images and collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to interpret images
- Assist with training students and technologists and perform injection procedures
- Gather information on patients' illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy
- Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients and answer patient questions
- Position the patient and equipment correctly to produce results with the best quality
- Operate machine properly to produce clear imaging results of a patient's body
- Observe the equipment to ensure it is working properly and adjust settings as needed
- Take X-rays of patient's tissue, organs, and bones to evaluate for possible injury or illness
- Write detailed reports about the patient's behavior or any machine malfunctions
- Clean, maintain, and restock inventory in examination rooms
- Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure
- Assist with ACR, HFAP, ISBOH, IDPH, and IEMA
- Associate's Degree preferred
