Responsibilities
  • Represent Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base and generate and grow sales while achieving or exceeding regional sales targets.
  • Lead the assigned region and establish a standard of excellence within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships with executives, decision influencers, and decision-makers at medical centers, clinics, and other accounts.
  • Track and reinforce regional sales-force effectiveness measures, including strategy adherence, tactical implementation, program planning, fund utilization, and target reach and frequency.
  • Coordinate with National Accounts, Marketing, Medical Scientists, and other internal teams on cross-functional projects.
  • Analyze and present scientific and technical information related to pharmaceutical marketing, sales regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Share knowledge of product and disease-state developments, including protocol considerations such as goals, cost versus efficacy, dosing, and duration.
  • Counsel and coach the sales team to improve selling skills, product and disease-state knowledge, customer focus, time management, and resource allocation.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage a team of specialists within the Gilead Sales organization.
  • Create learning plans, recommend training and development solutions, and provide mentoring and coaching for team members.
  • Serve as the communication liaison between the home office and the region, identifying and resolving issues, opportunities, and competitive activities.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes for the specialist team; measure success, document results, and provide performance feedback.

  • Twelve years of relevant commercial experience in marketing, sales, or a related commercial function.

Gilead raises 2026 outlook on HIV and PrEP strength, targets $30B in sales
