Coast is re-imagining the trillion-dollar U.S. B2B card payments infrastructure, with a focus on the country’s 500,000 commercial fleets, 40 million commercial vehicles, and many million commercial drivers. The incumbent technologies that cater to these customers are decades old, and drivers and fleets increasingly demand modern digital experiences and affordable and transparent financial services products. Coast’s mission is to deliver them at a transformational scale, beginning with the Coast Fleet and Fuel Card built on a cutting-edge spend management platform.
Reporting to the VP, Talent as the second recruiting hire, the Senior Recruiter will be directly responsible for building out Coast’s core team in the company’s growth stage. The successful candidate will also contribute to the ongoing improvement and implementation of Coast’s recruiting motions in partnership with the VP, Talent. This person should be curious, resourceful and collaborative to deliver on various talent priorities and identify opportunities for improvement. This role provides a great opportunity for growth - the successful candidate will interact daily with the heads of various functions (Engineering, Legal, Sales, Marketing, Credit and Risk, Product, Customer Service and the CEO) to deliver on various searches. Additionally, the Senior Recruiter will contribute to sourcing process, employer branding, and other initiatives to build the foundation for sustainable growth of Coast’s A-team.
Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented self-starter who can dig into the details, think creatively of solutions, and advocate for change when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Source and develop relationships with passive candidates for job openings across all departments through a combination of high volume email, LinkedIn InMails, and phone calls
- Develop networks of people to support a strong perpetual pipeline of qualified engineering and sales candidates
- Manage full-cycle recruiting by conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, ensuring scorecard submissions, managing offer approval processes, and offer calls
- Work with hiring managers to identify ideal candidate types and effective sourcing strategies, manage timeline expectations, and build job descriptions and interview plans
- Become a partner and trusted advisor for candidates throughout the hiring process by applying a high touch and creating an exceptional candidate experience
- Work with the rest of the recruiting team to review all incoming resumes, ensure timely stage transitions, and manage ATS cleanliness
- Where necessary, identify and retain external search firms
- Work with the VP, Talent on improving employer branding and other foundational recruiting initiatives
Requirements:
- 3-4+ years of total recruiting experience, including agency or in-house recruiting
- Ideally most recently, 2+ years conducting full lifecycle in-house recruiting
- Experience managing an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Greenhouse
- Familiarity with modern sourcing tools and techniques
- Experience in the tech/startup industry
- A strong network of talent, particularly in advertising, digital media, and technology
- Insatiable desire to be as efficient and effective as possible in all things!
Compensation:
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total compensation package that also includes benefits, signing bonus, and equity. Pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including scope and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Coast employees. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at Coast to fall healthily within the range based on these factors.
- Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually

- Equity grant: commensurate with level determined at the discretion of the company, with meaningful potential upside given the company’s early stage
