Requirements
  • PhD must be in hand at time of employment
  • Qualified candidates will demonstrate recognized potential for excellence in scholarship, as well as interest and experience in teaching a wide range of courses in modern Chinese literature, language, and intellectual history, modern Chinese film and media cultures, and film history and theory
  • Native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin and English
Responsibilities
  • Teach four courses per year (two in East Asian Languages and Cultures and two in Cinema and Media Studies)
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives in SLLC and across the university
  • Contribute toward the ARHU Strategic Plan pillars: Transformative Thinking; Boundless Creativity; Expansive Empathy; and Meaningful Futures, including leadership in teaching, mentoring, research, or service toward building an equitable and inclusive scholarly environment and increasing access or participation of all individuals equitably and fairly
