Requirements
  • Hold an MD degree and be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Respirology
  • Be eligible for licensure in Quebec
  • Hold, or be eligible for, certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec
  • Training and certification in Critical Care will be considered an asset
  • Hold advanced research training
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec.
Responsibilities
  • Spend a minimum of 50% of their time dedicated to research and develop and maintain an independent and productive research program
  • Attract external peer-reviewed funding for the research program
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care of people with tuberculosis at various sites of the McGill University Health Centre
  • Engage in general inpatient and outpatient respirology duties at the Montreal Chest Institute/Royal Victoria Hospital, the Montreal General Hospital, and the Lachine Hospital
  • Attend on clinical services such as the inpatient consultation service, respiratory ward, or day hospital
  • Lead an original and impactful research program in collaboration with other members of the Department and the Research Institute of the MUHC
  • Be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission (i.e., research, teaching, supervision of students and residents, and involvement in academic and administrative committees)
  • Contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community

  • Expertise in the use of artificial intelligence
