Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program within two years and successfully obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date; a minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required; Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state; current Basic Life Support required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider); scheduled work hours include Monday-Saturday 0630-1900 with rotating nights, weekends, holidays and on-call; able to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking; ability to lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted; able to work rotating shifts; able to work in latex-safe environment; be physically qualified for respirator use as required.
