What you’ll do
Reinsurance Company Operations
This position will be responsible for leading Hagerty’s reinsurance operations, which includes:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Regulatory Approvals
- Audit Coordination
- Board and Committee Reporting
- Financial Reporting
- Markel Correspondence
- Budgeting and Annual Plan
- Communication across all key Hagerty groups
Reserving and Reinsurance
This position will be responsible for Hagerty’s loss reserving and reinsurance placement, which includes:
- Financial reporting
- Quarterly Reserve Analysis
- Monthly AvE Analysis
- Annual Reserve Opinion
- Reinsurance Placement
- Reserving and Reinsurance Committees
- Reinsurance intermediary point of contact
ERM & Capital Modeling
This position will be responsible for Hagerty’s ERM and Capital Modeling program, which includes:
- Reinsurance Analysis
- Reinsurance Allocation
- Concentration Management
- Capital Modeling
- BCAR, BSCR
- Stress and Scenario Testing
- Regulatory Reporting
- Board Reporting
- Rating Agencies
Commercial Insurance Product
This position will work in conjunction with the Director of Commercial Insurance and the SVP of Global
Insurance Product to develop Hagerty’s commercial insurance products. Key responsibilities include:
- Pricing Analysis
- Product Analysis
- Market Analysis
- Underwriting Partner Coordination
- Risk Retention Strategy
- Ad hoc analysis
Insurance Business Analytics
This position will work in conjunction with the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and the
Senior Manager of National Partner Finance to analyze, recommend, and gain executive approval for
strategic business opportunities. Key areas include:
- Business Forecasting and Planning
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- New Market Analysis
- Strategic Business Opportunities
- Ad hoc analysis
This position will be responsible for leading Hagerty’s insurance business reporting and analytics teams. Key
responsibilities include:
- Partner with business leaders to identify analytical opportunities.
- Lead distribution and product analyst teams in the dissection of key business questions, creation of solutions,
- and business delivery.
- Create a culture of data literacy through training business users.
- Monitor industry trends and identify and implement best practices regarding insurance reporting and
- analytics.
- Work in conjunction with the VP of Data Product Engineering and Marketing Technology and the Senior
- Manager of Insurance Data to create and maintain the business data warehouse.
- Work in conjunction with the VP of Data Product Engineering and Marketing Technology to create enterprise[1]wide analytics best practices.

This position can be worked as remote position within the United States.
Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
