The Automotive Technician is the quality control gatekeeper for the Company, performing rigorous inspections on every single car to determine if it’s ready for sale. Automotive Technicians use their skills to diagnose, fix and prepare vehicles for our customers. They specialize in an area such as engines, steering and suspension, heating and air conditioning or brakes.

What You Will Do:

1. Diagnoses problems in the ignition, electrical, and engine management by visual inspection and use of testing devices such as oscilloscope, voltmeter and ammeter.
2. Performs diagnostic work accurately according to daily work orders as received from management including: 
1. Emission control systems
2. Throttle body injection; 
3. Electrical problems on computerized vehicles; 
4. Conditions between computer, ignition, and mechanical problems; 
5. Anti-lock brake systems; 
6. Cruise control; 
7. All non-computerized accessories; 
8. Drivability problems; 
9. On-board computer problems; 
10. Import fuel injection; 
11. Import ignition on computerized vehicles; 
12. Auto transmissions; 
13. Computerized A/C systems
3. Repairs or replaces defective wiring.
4. Adjusts ignition timing and measures and adjusts distributor breaker-point gaps.
5. Tests and repairs starters, generators and distributors.
6. Rebuilds electrical units, such as starters, generators and door controls.
7. Performs other duties as assigned. 

What You Will Bring

• Experienced Automotive Technicians with 3-5 years of experience preferred;
• High School Diploma or equivalent required;
• Automotive Technical training or Trade School degree strongly preferred;
• Valid Driver’s License in applicable state (or ability to obtain upon relocation) and a good driving record;
• Strong Mechanical & Electrical diagnostic aptitude and willingness to learn and absorb Shift training required; 
• Proficiency in basic computer skills required; 
• Excellent Customer Service skills required; 
• Individual must have their own basic automotive tool set; 
• ASE Certifications strongly preferred; 
• Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
• Good communication skills and attention to detail. 

Schedule:

• Full-time, which may include nights/weekends for coverage.

Compensation:

• $22 - $31 per hour depending on experience, certifications, and education
