  • Working toward a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in a STEM field
  • Sophomore or higher standing with a graduation date of Winter 2025 or Spring 2026
  • Proficiency with a programming language, preferably Python

Responsibilities
  • Spend the summer learning trading fundamentals and completing projects focused on enhancing and optimizing Optiver’s world-class market making infrastructure
  • Develop a broad set of skills across technology, data analysis and automated trading systems
  • Work cross functionally with developers, quantitative researchers and quantitative traders
  • Be paired with an experienced Trading Operations Analyst who will serve as a mentor and guide performance
  • Experience the thrill of tight feedback loops, working hand-in-hand with the full-time Trading Operations team as challenges within the financial markets are solved
