Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all configuration-management activities within projects in collaboration with stakeholders, particularly Product or System Engineering Delivery Managers.
  • Adapt the configuration-management system to comply with client contractual requirements and civil or military regulations.
  • Execute the configuration-management system within projects according to the adjusted FLX process.
  • Ensure the consistency and completeness of project information in the FLX configuration-management system.
  • Establish and implement configuration-management plans that account for civil and military customer requirements.
  • Manage product-evolution activities with customers and authorities, including the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the French Directorate General of Armament.
  • Organize Configuration Control Boards and draft Equipment Evolution Forms.
  • Support Customer Program Managers.
  • Raise awareness, advise stakeholders, and share configuration-management best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize change management for design records, supporting engineering teams and supervising completed modifications.

Thales, KSSL team up to produce combat-proven 70mm rockets in India. Thales and Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) have joined forces to explore the production of unguided and laser-guided 70-millimeter (2.75-inch) rocket systems in India. The Strategic Alliance Agreement, signed during Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever's state visit with Indian PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi, sets the framework for the technology transfer as well as the local production and distribution of Thales' rocket systems and associated equipment. The companies aim to produce the first locally assembled rocket system by early 2027. As the Indian Armed Forces already use Thales' 70mm rocket systems, the collaboration would enable the South Asian country to domestically produce its military's requirements while advancing its vision to become a globally competitive defense manufacturing hub. The move also helps strengthen Europe's security of rocket supply, according to the Belgian defense ministry. Sovereign defense. The deal combines Thales' rocket technologies with KSSL's advanced manufacturing, integration and testing capabilities to support both Indian and global requirements. The 70mm rockets can be integrated across naval, ground, and aerial platforms, including India's Advanced Light Helicopter and the Light Combat Helicopter. "By combining Thales' proven technologies with Kalyani Strategic Systems' advanced industrial ecosystem including our upcoming Energetics facility in Andhra Pradesh, this strategic partnership lays the foundation for indigenous production of next-generation rocket systems," said KSSL CEO Neelesh Tungar.

Thales is partnering with Kelly Hills Unmanned Systems to deploy a BVLOS network that supports safer and more efficient agricultural operations across Kansas. Working closely with the Kansas Department of Agriculture, the collaboration will initially help farmers use UAS for everyday tasks such as crop spraying, scouting, fertilizing, seeding, while also demonstrating how BVLOS operations can be safely scaled and applied to other use cases across the national airspace system. August 28, 2026 Hong Kong-based Virtual Asset Trading Platform (VTAP) HKVAX has selected Thales Luna Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) to strengthen the security and compliance of its digital asset custody infrastructure. Operating under the Securities and Futures Commission's rigorous regulatory framework, HKVAX required a cryptographic foundation capable of addressing evolving cyber risks to private keys, smart contracts, and custodial systems. The company selected Thales Luna HSMs based on their FIPS 140-3 Level 3 validation and ability to support regulatory-grade deployments across its multi-tier wallet architecture.
