Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Valid employment authorization in the United States is required, and the candidate must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible industry experience managing engineering and interfaces for large industrial plants is required.
  • Experience with detailed engineering through EPC, engineering/procurement, project engineering, and field work at fabrication sites and offshore is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of rotating machinery, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation engineering work processes is required, including design, erection, and commissioning of large static and rotating equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Air Liquide engineering design standards and procedures covering all engineering disciplines is required.
  • Experience using 3D model review tools used in plant design is required.
  • A technical background in industrial gases and industrial projects, ideally involving air separation units or hydrogen/helium facilities, is required.
  • General knowledge of engineering-discipline work processes during EPC project execution is required.
  • Influential team leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities are required.
  • A strong safety and reliability mindset is required.
  • The ability to interact positively with clients and maintain positive working relationships at multiple organizational levels is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work and make decisions independently and within a matrix team environment are required.
  • Very good knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques is required.
  • Commercial awareness for managing scope changes during project execution is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, with familiarity reviewing Primavera schedules, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage engineering and procurement for Air Liquide investment projects in accordance with defined governance and work processes.
  • Work with the Project Manager or Director to prepare project execution strategies covering scope, budget, schedule, assumptions, and risks.
  • Deliver complete engineering and procurement deliverables on time, within budget, and according to project specifications.
  • Prepare scopes of work for civil, mechanical, and electrical and instrumentation construction subcontracts with support from the subcontracts team.
  • Apply project safety rules and achieve strong safety performance.
  • Define and implement required safety action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Group standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and conduct capitalization reviews and share feedback within the organization.
  • Develop engineering and procurement execution plans for Pre-FEED, FEED, and project execution.
  • Coordinate and control engineering activities across E&C engineering centers, including design, subcontracting and fabrication scope inputs, and installation through scheduled completion.
  • Review interfaces between technical disciplines and project stakeholders, and coordinate with procurement, legal, business development, operations, vendors, customers, and local administrations through transfer to operations.
  • Ensure project compliance with applicable Group standards, rules, systems, and external regulations.
  • Ensure that design review plans and technical reviews, including HAZOP, P&ID, 3D model, and stage-gate reviews, are performed.
  • Participate in client and internal technical assessments, including HAZOP, HAZID, operability assessments, and equipment solution and strategy reviews.
  • Coordinate and supervise project engineers and engineering resources to deliver technical execution within schedule and engineering budget.
  • Manage risks and opportunities, changes, and compliance with HSES requirements and contractual commitments.
  • Define engineering organization procedures, issue basic design data, and approve general project specifications.
  • Ensure adequate resources and expertise are available for the assigned area.
  • Manage the design-change process, identify cost and schedule impacts, and support negotiations with clients.
  • Select vendors and contractors with support from the procurement group.
  • Provide timely internal and external reporting on engineering activities to the project manager and client.
  • Coordinate interfaces among engineering disciplines and with other technical disciplines, vendors, licensors, and partners.
  • Contribute to schedule preparation, control schedule execution, and propose corrective actions.
  • Assist construction, installation, and commissioning teams with site testing, installation, and commissioning plans and procedures.
  • Ensure design constructability, installability, and operability in accordance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate site-related activities, including requests for information, nonconformance reports, and commissioning planning.

Air Liquide launches $565M green bond to refinance hydrogen and sustainability projects

Air Liquide has launched its first green bond issue, raising €500 million to finance and refinance sustainable projects including hydrogen development. The 10-year bond was issued at a yield of 0.461% under the group's Euro Medium Term Note programme. Air Liquide raises $793M in inaugural Swiss franc bond issuance

Air Liquide has completed a multi-tranche bond issuance totalling 640 million Swiss francs (approximately €702 million).
