Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
  • The employee must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy equipment, and work in restrictive personal protective equipment or confined spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare products for initial and final paint coats, ensuring finish paint coverage meets paint and surface standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of spray equipment, including fluid and air settings, positioning, techniques, and procedures in all coating positions, and perform rework as necessary.
  • Clean painting equipment and assigned areas to maintain proper working order and a clean working environment.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance of spray equipment, guns, air supply, and other equipment necessary for job duties.
  • Load products and perform material handling.
  • Inspect products for quality.
  • Clean, sand, grind, media blast, and mask materials to remove rust, scale, or debris and ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Operate industrial airless, high-volume low-pressure, or electrostatic sprayers to apply primers, epoxies, and topcoats evenly.
  • Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain spray equipment, pumps, nozzles, and ventilation systems.
  • Manage hazardous chemical waste, utilize personal protective equipment, and maintain safety data logs.
