Responsibilities
  • Ensure Irving Oil’s wholesale fixed forward contract book is balanced within the defined risk tolerance guidelines
  • Execute end of month book over and position rolls for wholesale fixed forward position
  • Provide a monthly profitability report on the wholesale fixed forward program
  • Responsible for compiling competitive pricing intelligence and making pricing adjustments or recommendations to the broader team based on the data
  • Responsible for executing nightly posted prices by product and harbor across NE and Eastern Canada
  • Review daily TVA discounts to ensure adherence to a pricing strategy directed Sales Operation Manager
  • Monitor daily sales performance against demand plan forecast and contract commitments, notify management when liftings are outside of expectations
  • Participate in weekend on call coverage for customer communications regarding product availability
  • Provide the inside sales desk with daily information and insight as to what is influencing the CME commodities market
  • Provide a variety of ad hoc reporting for the US wholesale team as required to support base business
Desired Qualifications
  • Three to five years of experience in the petroleum or similar industry preferred
  • Prior product pricing and hedging experience preferred
  • Experience with Cognos, Salesforce and JDE a plus
  • Four-year college degree strongly preferred
