Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team is required.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving experience is required.
  • Applicants must have a personal computer running Windows 10/11 or macOS, with at least 2 CPUs at 1.6 GHz or faster, 8 GB RAM, and 25 GB of free disk space.
  • The computer must support Microsoft Edge and multi-factor authentication.
  • A consistent internet speed of 100 Mbps download and 40 Mbps upload is required for the best end-user experience.
  • Applicants must be able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Applicants must be available to work any day of the week, shift, or project as dictated by business needs.
  • Applicants must complete all required compliance training.
  • Applicants must disclose and obtain approval for secondary employment and other employment restrictions upon hire.
Responsibilities
  • Manage daily contact center operations, including agents and support staff, to meet program objectives, customer expectations, and operational efficiency standards.
  • Work with management to ensure adherence to the attendance policy, supervise daily business activities, and serve as an initial escalation point for agent or customer issues.
  • Create, develop, and maintain a positive customer service-centric culture that fosters motivation, positivity, and respect.
  • Provide frontline management of day-to-day contact center operations.
  • Supervise agents assisting callers with Medicaid benefits, general inquiries, and renewals.
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules and document attendance.
  • Maintain staff personnel records regarding performance and attendance.
  • Coach and mentor staff on customer service best practices, policy, and program knowledge according to organizational standards and procedures.
  • Perform quality assurance by monitoring and coaching agents for compliance with program standards.
  • Maintain and manage updates and delivery of contact center metrics.
  • Evaluate individual performance reviews and overall team effectiveness.
  • Provide input on contact center operations to support strategic decisions.
  • Maintain and improve contact center operations by monitoring system performance and identifying and resolving problems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, and other system issues.
  • Understand and support the contact center technology, software applications, phone systems, and computer systems used by agents and support staff.
  • Keep agents informed of new working practices, program policies, and technology or information security changes.
  • Participate in program touchpoints and appropriately field questions.
  • Stay current on changing project directions.
  • Assist with phone coverage when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Medicaid or health insurance industry contact center is preferred.
  • Higher education credits or a degree are preferred.
  • Familiarity with contact center software is preferred.
  • Bilingual ability in Tagalog, Ilocano, Japanese, Spanish, and Hawaiian is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office, including Teams, Outlook, and Excel, is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, customer service, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills are preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in expectations and responsibilities is preferred.
  • A history of high performance, attendance, and work ethic is preferred.
