Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g.) industrial/ mechanical/ vehicle or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1
  • Very good technical understanding and sound knowledge of product/vehicle development and production with focus on Powertrain, Energy and Drive Systems
  • A successful history of delivering new program launches on time while achieving metrics
  • Very good product assessment skills, problem solving and root cause capabilities
  • Sound knowledge of quality management with in-depth knowledge of Quality Engineering disciplines and risk management
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of directly or functionally leading/ building high-performing teams
  • Proficient in the use of commonly applied quality tools and processes in the automotive industry (e.g. IATF 169494, AIAG, VDA, APQP, PPAP)
  • Good working knowledge of DVP&R’s, FMEA’s and Control Plans
  • Highest level of integrity and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of legal compliance and product liability requirements

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality of the Energy and Drive System from the customer’s perspective
  • Ensure the concept quality, usability and functional quality in the product provides safety and customer satisfaction
  • Manage the quality market research activities, quality studies and benchmarks to determine customer quality requirements
  • Oversee the definition of quality requirements, the quality maturity management and quality validation of functions and systems
  • Risk minimization through use of appropriate risk assessment tools and verification of the robustness of detection and prevention systems for special characteristics
  • Support the planning, execution and evaluation of product test drives within quality
  • Execute quality approvals of functions and systems
  • Definition of quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and operations to ensure product quality
  • Develop and provide leadership to the technical teams and drive/support daily operations
  • Support and mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the capabilities of the Technical Quality team
  • Work cross functionally with other departments within Re:Car
  • Perform other duties as assigned
