North Little Rock mayor speaks on Eaton's planned $242 million manufacturing facility.

North Little Rock mayor speaks on Eaton's planned $242 million manufacturing facility. Posted: Sep 2, 2026 / 05:10 PM CDT Updated: Sep 2, 2026 / 05:10 PM CDT NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Eaton plans to build a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in North Little Rock, representing an investment of more than $242 million and creating an estimated 1,200 new jobs. The power management company says the facility will manufacture customized electrical enclosures for its Fibrebond business. Those enclosures will help meet growing demand from the data center, utility, industrial and digital communications markets. Eaton expects the North Little Rock facility to double its U.S. manufacturing capacity for electrical enclosures. North Little Rock Mayor Terry Hartwick says the project is a major economic win for the entire central Arkansas region. "It's not just 1,200 jobs coming to North Little Rock, it's 1,200 jobs coming to central Arkansas," Hartwick said. "That's big wherever you are." Hartwick said North Little Rock competed against other states before ultimately being selected for the project. He credited state and local economic development efforts, as well as the city's continued investment in infrastructure and community development. Hartwick said the project could provide new opportunities for people across central Arkansas, including high school graduates who may choose to enter the workforce rather than leave the area for college or employment. The facility is also expected to have an impact on construction and local utilities as the project moves forward. Hartwick said construction activity is expected to begin ramping up in 2028.

Eaton to add NT$300m to Taiwan investment

Eaton to add NT$300m to Taiwan investment. Thu, sep 03, 2026 page9. * Eaton to add NT$300m to Taiwan investment * By Meryl Kao / Staff Reporter * * Add TT as Preferred Source US-based power management company Eaton Corp yesterday said that it plans to invest an additional NT$300 million (US$9.46 million) in Taiwan through 2030, after investing NT$200 million since last year, to expand local power infrastructure production and service capacity. The investments are expected to boost Eaton's total capacity in Taiwan by at least 40 percent by 2030 from last year's levels, Eaton country manager for Taiwan and the Philippines Tony Lin (林鈺培) said at the Semicon Taiwan trade show in Taipei. Eaton's core businesses span electrical power distribution and management, backup power and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, and circuit protection. Eaton Corp country manager for Taiwan and the Philippines Tony Lin poses for a photograph at the company's booth at the Semicon Taiwan trade show in Taipei yesterday. Photo courtesy of Eaton Corp The company plans to add four to six production lines for UPS products at its plant in New Taipei City's Sijhih District (汐止), Lin said. The company plans to expand the plant's power capacity from 1.5 megawatts (MW) to 2.5MW to support the production and testing of larger UPS systems and other high-power equipment, he said. The plant also produces cable insulation sleeves and other products for Taiwan Power Co (Taipower, 台電), he added. Eaton operates another plant in Tainan's Guanmiao District (關廟) to produce industrial products, and has manufacturing sites in China, the US and the Philippines, Lin said. The company's main customers in Taiwan are in the semiconductor and data center sectors, as well as the enterprise market, he said. Traditional data centers typically route medium-voltage AC from the grid through medium-voltage switchgear, step-down transformers and low-voltage switchgear, followed by multiple AC/DC and DC/DC conversions, Lin said. Eaton's MV SST shortens this process by accepting 10kilovolts (kV) to 34.5kV medium-voltage input and converting it directly into power suited to 800-volt DC architecture, with conversion efficiency of up to 98.5 percent. The system could eliminate at least four conventional conversion stages and significantly simplifies the data center's power architecture, he said. Mass production of the product is slated for the first quarter of next year, he said. * Most Popular * 1 TSMC to develop site in Baipu park * 2 TSMC says unable to keep pace with AI boom despite fivefold expansion * 3 The age of quantum * 4 Alleged vote-buying in Hualien to be investigated * 5 Official warns against Chinese stardom amid reports Beijing is wooing Tzuyu
