This role requires you to be located in the Bay Area and you will be required to be in the office at our HQ (Sunnyvale,CA).

Illumio is looking for a motivated design intern to join our Creative Team!

The candidate should be interested in cyber security, brand strategy and identity, information hierarchy, and driving web growth in a constantly evolving and competitive cyber security landscape. 

This 12-week paid internship involves working closely with the creative team and cross-functionally across multiple departments and will help uncover invaluable insights an opportunities to help Illumio’s continued growth within the Zero Trust Segmentation category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ready to engage in discussions on all things brand 

• Learn to present concepts and design rounds to the internal team for feedback

• Work closely with the design team, content writers, technical engineers, to provide assets and deliverables to key stakeholders

• Help us with website data, competitive research, and understanding user requirements when developing a visual design strategy

• Gain valuable insight and assist members of the creative team while learning to create wireframes and responsive webpages

• Create graphics, images, iconography, social graphics, logos, mood boards, and illustrations to support the voice and visual standards of the brand

• Help us design and create captivating tradeshow experiences and conference booth designs

• Help create new PowerPoint presentations using existing templates within our branding guidelines

• Leverage existing branding to create corporate swag items including t-shirts, flyers, holiday cards, and other marketing materials

Experience:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Fine Arts or Graphic Design

• Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or PowerPoint (Figma experience is a plus)

• Bring a portfolio of your previous works/projects 

• Have a passion for design, branding, and identity, and some work that shows off your conceptual thinking skills

• Have a keen eye for detail and are not afraid to ask questions!

• Have an interest in information hierarchy and architecture, content strategy, and interactive web experiences

• Strong understanding of typography best practices

• Excellent at setting priorities, and willing to presenting your work to teammates and other stakeholders

• Proactive and can rely on your problem-solving skills to produce solutions you are proud to share and discuss

• Open to feedback and are willing to adapt, learn, and collaborate

• Great communication skills

Pay Range:

$30/hr
