Summit Partners sells $16M in Aveanna Healthcare stock despite 23% gain and strong financials

Summit Partners sold 2.1 million shares of Aveanna Healthcare for an estimated $16.23 million, according to an SEC filing dated 8 May 2026. Despite the sale, Aveanna Healthcare remains the fund's fourth-largest holding at 5.23% of reportable assets under management. The sale appears to be profit-taking rather than a warning sign. Aveanna Healthcare shares rose 23% over the past year to $6.94. The company posted strong results, with full-year revenue climbing 20.2% to $2.43 billion and adjusted EBITDA surging nearly 75% to $320.9 million. Its planned $175.5 million Family First Homecare deal is expected to close this quarter.
