Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience performing as a project engineer or project manager on local agency and/or DOT roadway projects
  • Possesses advanced, specialized knowledge in roadway/highway design
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and mentor junior level staff
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical lead in the planning and execution of complex engineering projects.
  • Conduct advanced engineering analysis and design for specialized projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and junior engineers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in a specific engineering discipline.
  • Perform QA/QC on project deliverables.
  • Participate in firm-wide quality control initiatives.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for contract development.
  • Coordinate with other departments and sub-consultants to allocate project scope and develop budget and schedule proposals.
  • Assist with business development efforts and prepare statements of qualifications and letters of interest.
  • May perform other duties associated with this role.
