About your team :
While ESG has been integrated into the day-to-day Fidelity operations, the ESG Regulatory Compliance team is providing an expert role to support the business and the compliance teams across the world. The team is providing end-to-end advice (from compliance of our portfolios to compliance of our entities) for Fidelity’s European and Global product ranges (funds and mandates), as well as related distribution and marketing activities. The team is also advising on the corporate sustainability aspects of the Group.
The team’s role is to provide an excellent compliance service, promoting a strong compliance culture and enhancing the effectiveness, long-term profitability and reputation of Fidelity through pro-active management of regulatory and reputation risk, undertaken in partnership with the business, and in the best interests of our clients.
The team works in partnership with a wide numbers of teams across the world which includes amongst other the Sustainability team, the Investment teams, the Compliance teams, the Risk Management teams or the Internal audit teams.
The ESG Regulatory Compliance team is integrated within a wider Compliance department, which provides advisory, consultancy, and monitoring services to Fidelity’s regulated entities, their branches and their representative offices as well as in relation to the related fund vehicles. Stakeholders include portfolio managers, research analysts, trading desks, corporate finance, institutional teams and their respective support groups.
About your role :
Global ESG regulations for both corporate sustainability and sustainable investing matters are evolving rapidly.
The role will work closely with the global lead of ESG Regulatory Compliance based in Luxembourg to act as an insightful business advisor as the firm undergoes its ESG transformation. This includes support of the wider compliance team in its day-to-day activities and its strategic evolution towards further integration of ESG considerations.
To achieve these outcomes, the role will advise the investment management team as they seek to identify and manage ESG risks and opportunities, and advise the business on the conduct outcomes from their ESG strategy and the best way to deliver high quality outcomes to clients in various markets.
The role has a global coverage including Continental Europe, United Kingdom and Asia-Pacific with a key focus on European ESG regulations including SFDR, UK SDR, CSRD and ISSB. The role supports a wide range of products from active funds, passive funds to client mandates, and a wide range of asset classes including equities, bonds, funds, loans or real estate assets. The role has a wide number range of internal stakeholders.
Tasks of the role include:
- Regulation: policy assessment, regulatory horizon scanning, regulatory mapping, impact assessment
- Training on current and future regulations
- Investment compliance advice on frameworks, product design, investment queries
- Business compliance advice on governance, technology, data, operations, disclosure, reporting, marketing
- Support of Group change management
- Support of the Group compliance monitoring
- Communication with regulators, depositaries, auditors, clients
About you :
- Previous Asset Management experience
- Previous experience on Sustainable Investing and Corporate Sustainability regulations
- Good communicator, both orally and in written (emails, reports, Power Point presentations), able to explain simply some highly complex and nuanced regulations while highlighting the key risks and opportunities
- Pragmatic problem solver who is willing to roll their sleeves up, help the business reduce risk and think out of the box
- Hands-on mentality and ability to work well under pressure with good prioritisation ability
- Dedicated to maintaining high quality standards and client satisfaction
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Demonstrates resilience, adaptability and good judgement
- Works collaboratively and leverages individual talents in support of company practices and goals
- Exhibits personal responsibility and accountability to maintain high standards by continually seeking opportunities to increase efficiency and quality of existing work processes, methods, and system.
- Advanced level of English
