Konovo, a healthcare intelligence company, has appointed Jessica Santos as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer. Santos brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare compliance, AI governance and data privacy. Santos joins from Oracle Life Sciences, where she served as Global Compliance and Quality Director and Data Protection Officer, overseeing regulation, ethics and compliance across healthcare technologies. She previously held compliance leadership roles at Cerner, Kantar Health and Sermo, and was an associate professor at the University of Cambridge. At Konovo, Santos will integrate compliance, AI governance, legal, data privacy and IT risk into a unified operating model. She will also oversee pharmacovigilance and adverse event monitoring across global markets. Santos holds a PhD from Newcastle University and is a certified AI Governance Professional.
Rare Patient Voice joins Konovo. US - Healthcare intelligence company Konovo has acquired Rare Patient Voice, a panel recruitment company focused on patients and their families, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition will support Konovo's work on patient-centric insights across therapeutic areas, in particular for rare and complex medical conditions. Rare Patient Voice was launched in 2013 and works across nine countries. Konovo will preserve Rare Patient Voice's approach while supporting it with platform infrastructure. Konovo, a healthcare intelligence company, has acquired Rare Patient Voice (RPV), a patient recruitment firm with over 200,000 registered patients and family caregivers across rare, chronic and complex conditions. The acquisition combines RPV's patient relationships with Konovo's technology platform and healthcare provider access. Founded in 2013, RPV operates across nine countries and covers more than 1,500 diseases. The deal enables researchers to access hard-to-reach patient populations whilst integrating patient and physician insights through a single platform. Konovo will use its infrastructure to expand RPV's reach whilst maintaining its community-focused approach. The company aims to accelerate high-quality insights from patients and healthcare professionals, particularly in rare and complex conditions where traditional recruitment methods often struggle.

In Watertown, MA, USA, healthcare intelligence company Konovo has appointed two healthcare technology industry veterans, Swathi Kulkarni and Tom Halliday to its executive leadership team, with the respective titles of MD India and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Konovo was formed nine months ago from the merger of the three healthcare research firms within Apollo Intelligence - InCrowd, SHG and GlocalMind. The group operates across thirteen countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia, and is a portfolio company of Frazier Healthcare Partners. The company combines a global panel of healthcare professionals and patients with mobile-first quant and qual research capabilities, plus AI-based capabilities to streamline and integrate the gathering and sharing of insights. Last year the company added clinical research data veteran Gadi Lachman and former Kantar Health exec Jeremy Brody to its Board, and recently it launched a new suite called Survey Studio, allowing clients to rapidly design and script 'therapeutic-specific' healthcare surveys. Konovo says the two new hires will accelerate the expansion of its AI-native intelligent technology platform to meet the needs of all geographies. Kulkarni (pictured above) brings more than twenty years of experience building pioneering health tech companies and scaling them globally, most recently as CEO and co-founder of Elda Health, a full-stack digital wellness platform; and as Head of Health Management at Aditya Birla Health Insurance. Earlier she held executive leadership roles at Nua, a personal care product manufacturer; Inksedge, an events and communications company; and Komli Media, India's leading digital marketing platform. In her new role she will lead Konovo's India Innovation Hub, including strategy, P&L, growth delivery, talent and culture, and work to maximize the role that India plays in Konovo's success. Halliday (pictured below) also brings more than two decades of experience to bear on his new role, from life sciences roles on both the client and agency sides. Most recently, he was Strategic Intelligence General Manager at pharmaceutical solutions group Norstella, leading development of and strategy for the Strategic Intelligence business unit. Earlier he was CCO and Head of Real-World Data (RWD) at Clarivate Life Sciences, and held various leadership positions in Strategic Analytics and Competitive Intelligence at pharma and diagnostics giant Roche. In his new CCO role he will work to strengthen Konovo's senior-level partnerships and expand relationships across the global MR ecosystem. Konovo launches AI healthcare survey tool. US - Healthcare insight company Konovo has added a self-service platform for designing and scripting healthcare surveys. Konovo has formed a healthcare and life sciences partnership with AI market research platform Metaforms to integrate the latter's programming AI technology for the 'Survey Studio' tool. Through the tool, healthcare researchers can conduct surveys based on Konovo's life sciences insight base - around 15 years of healthcare research data, design standards and methodology. Advertisement The tool uses AI agents to bring together questionnaire design and survey programming. Konovo was formed in 2025 from the merger of healthcare research businesses InCrowd, SHG, and GlocalMind by owner Apollo Intelligence. The new survey tool will be available from the company in the fourth quarter of 2025.
