A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Manages personnel, operational, and compliance functions associated with multi-state payroll processing Sets priorities and mentors assigned staff to ensure adequate training, competencies, and assessments.
- Performs all duties in a manner that promotes project team success and reflects Blattner’s values.
- Collaborates with Payroll employees to ensure work is performed efficiently and to help all areas meet required deadlines.
- Partners with other departments within Blattner to provide exceptional customer service to employees, managers, and other business units.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in an accounting position with responsibilities in payroll, accounts payable, and financial statements and two years of lead or supervisory experience required.
- Experience performing payroll using an automated time and attendance system required.
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and/or Certified HR Professional (CHRP) preferred.
- JDE, Workday or ADP experience.
