Requirements
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field from an accredited college or university; a master's degree is required.
  • Experience and/or certification in one or more of the following skill sets: C#, HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, Python, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Transact-SQL data definition language and data manipulation language, SQL Server Integration Services, data warehouse concepts and design, Windows Server, networking, administration, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, Domain Name System, routing, project management, and cloud-based technologies such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated superior oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
  • Passion for Christ-centered higher education and dedication to integrating faith and learning in business fields, with a commitment to student success.
  • Proficiency in appropriate Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to use appropriate software and technology such as a collegiate learning management system.
  • Commitment to learning new ideas for classroom presentations and dynamic class interactions to engage student learning meaningfully.
  • Commitment to the stated traditional evangelical Christian beliefs and lifestyle expectations, including active involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church and the ability to communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles in the workplace.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Colorado Christian University's mission through classroom and community participation, exemplary academics, and spiritual formation.
  • Advocate for the University's mission, traditional Christian beliefs, and Strategic Priorities.
  • Teach assigned undergraduate courses according to School of Business and Leadership policies and procedures, using varied best-practice teaching and learning strategies, including classroom and online technology.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise assigned course curriculum, teaching-learning practices, and assessments of program and student learning outcomes.
  • Advise and mentor School of Business and Leadership students and provide formal consultations and informal mentoring.
  • Demonstrate strong prior and ongoing practitioner experience in the general field of business.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of the School of Business and Leadership and perform other assigned duties.
  • Work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends, and participate in campus activities and events throughout the year.
  • Make regular public presentations to students, parents, and external constituents.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three or more years of successful teaching experience in a college or university, with a proven track record of student learning and engagement through previous classroom evaluations by students or faculty administration.
