Summary
As the Financial Analyst, you will be a key contributor within the Financial Planning & Analysis Department in helping build and maintain financial models as well as financial analysis and insights which will be used by stakeholders to make strategic, data-driven decisions. In this role you will assist with building and/or enhancing the established tools and systems used by the financial team.
As an applying candidate you must have at least three years working experience in a similar role. You should be highly organized, detail oriented, and have excellent communication (written and verbal) abilities. Annual compensation range: 85K-135K (determined based on experience, education, and knowledge).
Essential Duties
- Build and maintain a robust financial planning process and model, annual and interim period forecasting, budgeting, and timely reporting (budget vs actual, KPIs, etc.)
- Help management devise financial strategy that supports company’s annual and long-term financial targets, including developing operating assumptions, evaluating business cases for various projects and initiatives, and establishing financial models and forecasts to achieve targets.
- Ensure ongoing timeliness, integrity and accuracy of annual budget and ongoing interim forecasts.
- Establish budget and forecasting reporting tools for executive team and functional leaders to provide improved visibility and accuracy of business projections.
- Gain insights on key economic trends, industry and other external factors which need to be factored into the financial modeling.
- Drive operating metrics including target setting, guideline creation, and producing presentations for management.
- Partner with all members of the management team to assess and analyze key decisions.
- Complete ad-hoc and special projects as requested.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related quantitative field
- At least three years of experience in finance or analytic role
- In-depth knowledge of general financial accounting, cost accounting, and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Integrity; you must have the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Prior experience working within Microsoft Office and accounting software.
- Advanced use of Excel – must be able to query data from a SQL database and develop complex financial models.
