  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience
  • Extensive experience with tax accounting and reporting under ASC 740 for a US-based multi-national corporation
  • Experience with tax accounting and reporting under US GAAP in multinational context, including accounting for uncertain tax positions, and accounting for stock-based compensation
  • Experience with US federal and state corporate tax and Sales tax compliance
  • Strong analytical thinking and writing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough tax research
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in a fast moving, high growth environment with ability to react quickly to unexpected challenges and opportunities
  • Good business sense and ability to generate insightful analysis
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to communicate complex subject matter to leadership, peers and other levels in the company without a tax background
  • Extremely well organized and able to manage work requirements to meet reporting deadlines
  • Manage uncertain tax positions documentation with external consultants
  • Negotiate contracts with software providers, external consultants, and tax shared service companies
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of changes to tax laws and regulations
  • Lead the Company’s quarterly and annual SEC tax reporting process
  • Partner with outside consultants to advise on global projects and optimize tax department operations
  • Lead tax compliance processes for federal, state and local income and indirect taxes
  • Lead tax due diligence and structuring for mergers and acquisitions
  • Manage federal, state, and local tax audits
  • Maintain knowledge of current and proposed tax laws and analyze their impact on the Company
  • Research technical tax matters and prepare documentation to support tax positions
  • Support strategic tax planning and implement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Identify and obtain tax incentives for the company
  • Oversee compliance with internal controls and SOX documentation
  • Evaluate business opportunities and global initiatives with stakeholders
  • Champion operational excellence through process improvement and technology transformation

Archer is developing electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft for urban air mobility networks, with a focus on innovating in powertrain technologies to enable the commercialization of eVTOL aircraft.
