Quality Assurance Analyst

The role:

AlphaSights is looking for a self-driven QA Analyst to join the Software Engineering Team. We are a digital business in which continuous uptime and smooth IT experience is central to our success. Working alongside Software Engineering and Product Management, you will focus on supporting the user experience while vetting new and innovative products and features, as well as enhancing existing ones.

You must be proactive, creative, and enjoy interacting with other people. Working largely with the teams based in London/Portugal, you will also have the opportunity to work with teams based in other offices across EMEA, US and Asia. 

What you’ll do:

• Create and manage test plans, test suites, and test cases across multiple projects.
• Manually Test a variety of applications, tracking test execution data
• Provide feedback for UI/UX improvements/enhancements
• Create and track bugs/defects throughout the software development lifecycle in Jira
• Troubleshoot and debug user issues with applications
• Collaborate with Development and Product teams to identify parameters, environment configs and edge cases

Who you are:

• Have 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in previous QA roles
• Attained a Bachelor's degree, strong preference for relevant fields (Computer Science, Management Information Systems/Services, Computer Information Systems etc.)
• Experience within an agile environment
• Have solid technical troubleshooting skills & experience
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps or another significant bug tracking and project management system
• Experience using a test management tool.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience testing APIs
• Experience writing code
• Experience with automated testing using Selenium, Cypress, or any other framework
