Requirements
  • An active, in-scope United States Government-issued Secret clearance.
  • United States citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must meet applicable Department of Defense 8140 qualification requirements for the assigned work role, specifically Work Role 632 – Systems Developer (Intermediate), through education, military training, certifications, or a combination thereof.
  • A qualifying bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or relevant military communications or network training.
  • Over ten years of experience providing software development support in web-based and cloud-based environments, including designing, coding, testing, and implementing custom web applications.
  • Broad knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Java, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, Python, .NET MVC, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, TypeScript, Entity Framework, Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE or NetBeans, Apache Tomcat, IIS, XML, and process documentation.
  • Experience developing RESTful application programming interfaces and web services.
  • Experience versioning software with Atlassian Bitbucket or a similar Git-based repository.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira or similar issue and project tracking software.
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence or similar knowledge management software.
  • IAT Level II or equivalent certification.
  • A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities
  • Research, design, and develop software or specialized utility programs.
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions using principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  • Update software and enhance existing software capabilities.
  • Participate in Agile meetings, including Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, design meetings, and Sprint Demonstration meetings.
  • Document code using meaningful variable names and functions and adhere to coding best practices.
  • Maintain and version coding changes in the program code repository.
  • Work with software application testers to ensure code is thoroughly tested in applicable testing environments before release to the NTIRA production environment.
  • Ensure all work is tracked and approved in Jira software.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is desired.
  • Qualifying DoD 8140 certifications may include CSSLP, GSEC, GCLD, or other DoD 8140-approved certifications.
  • Higher proficiency-level or equivalent DoD 8140-approved certifications applicable to the assigned work role may also be accepted.
