  • Crisis communication experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a cohesive communication strategy across the US aligned with organisational goals
  • Identify key messaging, target audiences, and channels for effective communication
  • Ensure the communications strategy across UK, US and Australia are aligned
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets and journalists
  • Work closely with the editorial team to distribute and place stories prominently to various broadcast and digital partners for promotion
  • Oversee internal communication initiatives (MyHub) across the US to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with company values
  • Implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and communication within the organisation
  • Oversee the organising of internal and external events for in-house (holiday parties) and commercial purposes
  • Understand and support the development and positioning of the Mail.com brand in the US
  • Craft and distribute internal and external press releases covering editorial and commercial activity to all relevant media
  • Oversee the creation of compelling and engaging content for various platforms, including press releases, articles, blog posts and social media
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members
  • Manage the relationship with external PR support when needed
  • Work closely with the Editor in Chief in the US and wider editorial teams globally
  • Keep aligned with the Director of Comms in the UK office
  • Support DMGT parent company
  • Work closely with Legal: collaborating on editorial issues, trademark, lawsuits, etc
