Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training/relevant experience) in fields that include strong coverage of applied mathematics and statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience working with healthcare claims data and an understanding of what data points mean to operational users.
  • 6+ years of experience delivering data for predictive modeling or analytics needs.
  • Experience using SQL, Python, and Spark to write complex ETL jobs.
  • Experience building and optimizing terabyte sized data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present results to teams of people, including executive stakeholders.
  • Can work independently to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Responsibilities
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and feature transformation for predictive modeling.
  • Assist application developers with pipelines to consume machine learning models.
  • Identify new opportunities for modeling or reporting improvements through data research.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and BI analytics engineers to deliver on projects.
  • Independently working with data platform teams to find the data sources needed for modeling.
  • Ensure data health and quality for optimal model performance through monitoring tools.
