Requirements
  • 5+ years of taxes & fees content experience, preferably within automotive retailing space
  • Knowledge in vehicle dealer operation related to taxes & fees within variable ops
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, interacting with all levels of stakeholders
  • Be organized and adaptable to an ever-changing and fast-moving field
  • Must be a team player but also able to work autonomously
  • Keeps an entrepreneurial mindset, deep curiosity, and a passion for learning & growth
  • Comfortable managing and reporting on multiple projects concurrently

Responsibilities
  • Taxes & Fees Specialist role should source, analyze, edit, review, and validate state and local automotive taxes & fees.
  • Manage internal tools and processes around taxes & fees
  • Collaborate with product managers and implementation teams to ensure data meets Tekion and customer needs
  • Engage with dealer partners to review/validate and confirm accuracy of taxes & fees
  • Work closely with our vendors to ensure data accuracy, structure and timeliness SLAs are met
  • Work with state & local websites and vendors to obtain information and answers, as needed
  • Ability to work well with support team members, peers, and Management toward shared goals
  • Coach new hires and team members on taxes & fees processes and domain terminologies
  • Research and answer technical questions related to taxes & fees and our vendors’ datasets
  • Expected to be subject matter expert by clearly understanding and improving data within various state and local calculations
  • Assist, motivate, and accelerate team members’ personal development.
  • Ability to work with remote teams to coach and train them in assigned areas of responsibility
Desired Qualifications
  • Automotive retailing loan and lease payment calculation experience
  • Basic level of Tax and Fee knowledge in all U.S. states
  • Knowledge of Commercial vehicle requirements preferred
  • Experience with 3rd party API workings
