Responsibilities
  • Work closely with your product counterpart, taking ownership for technology to deliver on the product strategy - realizing a high-quality user experience
  • Lead a cross-functional team of various engineering fields. Grow a healthy, collaborative, and productive engineering team in line with our values
  • Participate in and challenge your team's systems architecture, making the appropriate trade-offs based on quality, scalability, performance, and cost aligned with the team's tech strategy
  • Grow the technical expertise of engineers in the team through technical leadership and advocating for sound software engineering practices
  • Use experimentation, data, and insights, e.g., through A/B tests, to make the appropriate priorities and decisions
  • Partner with peer engineering managers to build a collaborative culture across the organization
  • Grow people and the team through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, process, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Own the team's delivery by planning and scoping engineering work, delivering on commitments, and actively working with partners and stakeholders. Continuously improving the team's ways of working and processes
