  • A combination of education and technical experience, including a minimum of 4 years hands-on mechanical supervisory experience is desired
  • Previous automotive or trailer repair experience
  • Subject to background check
Responsibilities
  • Training and developing employees, planning and delegating work, disciplining, handling employee complaints, and conducting performance reviews
  • Scheduling and administering fleet maintenance
  • Assisting in troubleshooting problems with equipment
  • Ensuring compliance on a day-to-day basis with State, Federal and Company regulations
  • Working closely with location manager and regional maintenance management, providing status updates
  • Ensuring maintenance technicians are trained on current operating procedures, are properly equipped, and are motivated so that the maintenance program can operate in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
  • Completing special projects as assigned, including performing hands-on work functions
  • Working in direct coordination with the Regional Maintenance Director overseeing various maintenance shop tasks which include outlining and communicating job assignment priorities, condition reporting, ordering and receiving parts and tires, maintaining proper inventory levels, breakdown coordination, vendor repair coordination, processing repair orders, maintaining 'Out of Service' and PM reporting, assisting personnel in the troubleshooting and completion of work, and regular direct communication with the Operations team.
