- Have a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Have strong mechanical aptitude and abilities; experience with electrical systems and/or hydraulics is beneficial.
- Be proficient with hand and power tools.
- Have welding experience.
- Have customer relations skills with clear and concise language skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Be able to utilize technology such as a laptop or tablet.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds for lifting and moving functions.
- Be willing to complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check.
- Service, repair, and install dock levelers, bumpers, shelters, restraints, seals, rack repairs, and other material handling equipment at customer locations.
- Diagnose and repair industrial equipment breakdowns.
- Communicate needed repairs effectively to customers.
- Complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate daily with the parts and service department.
- Keep the work van clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Comply with all safety procedures within company guidelines.
- Consistently and reliably attend scheduled shifts ready to work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Prior door experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience with electrical systems and/or hydraulics.
