Requirements
  • Working towards a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field, currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a machine shop or lab environment with common tools and equipment
  • Experience with fabrication of mock-ups and prototypes for testing/evaluation utilizing a variety of techniques including SLA, FDM, SLS, sheet metal, machining
  • Proficiency using Solidworks for 3D CAD modeling and 2D technical drawings
  • Excellent organizational, communication and team skills
Responsibilities
  • Support senior engineers in designing, prototyping, testing and troubleshooting mechanical or mechatronics parts and subsystems of the hardware platform
  • Help prepare engineering documents and reports in support of new product development
  • Assist with various daily activities in the hardware lab
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing mechanisms and product designs using injection molding, casting, machining and sheet metal parts that meet functional requirements and are suited for mass production
  • Experience with medical device design is a plus
