Requirements
  • Missouri Drinking Water treatment plant operator’s license preferred.
  • A valid Missouri motor vehicle operator's license.
  • Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Water Treatment and Distribution systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in water treatment work.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Responsibilities
  • Regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of the Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution Systems as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours.
  • Will be required to respond to an emergency or unpredictable situations.
  • Daily operations of all water system wells and facilities within our 450 square mile service area.
  • State and Federal regulated compliance sampling in the distribution system.
  • Maintenance of all water system facilities and their appurtenances (Wells, pump stations, control valves, vaults, water storage structures, and grounds).
